A few months ago we were approached with a video project from a long-time client of ours: Mt. Scott Learning Center. Mt. Scott is an alternative High School, giving students who struggled in a traditional learning environment a second chance to get a diploma. Mt. Scott is run on a smaller budget than most public schools and has limited funds for upkeep and remodeling projects. For years the school has been wanting to turn an empty upstairs room into a teacher and student lounge area but has never been able to raise the money.
Enter Catalyst Partnerships NW, who’s mission is to donate construction services to individuals and organizations in need. They decided to pick up the project and donated hundreds of man hours in partnership with Westside Church in Beaverton. We heard about the generosity of both organizations and decided to donate our video services to highlight and recap the transformation. A few weeks later, the space was completely finished and it is currently serving the students of Mt. Scott Learning Center.
