Our approach
Social media
Sproutbox is a Portland-based social media marketing agency. We manage organic and paid social for businesses that want more than just consistent posting. Real strategy, real creative, real results. Social works best with strong visual assets, which is why our social team works directly with our photo and video team. And when you're ready to put budget behind it, we run paid social ads too.
Posting more does not build an audience. We've watched brands go from two posts a week to seven with zero change in reach, because the content wasn't doing anything worth sharing. The brands that grow are publishing less and making each piece count. A consumer food brand we manage grew Instagram reach by over 1,400% in a single year. The strategy was straightforward: better creative, consistent visual language, and copy that actually sounded like a person wrote it.
Our Process
How we get social media results.
We want to know your business goals, your audience, what you've tried before, and honestly, what you're not willing to do. Some clients want to be all over TikTok. Others need LinkedIn and nothing else. We don't push you toward platforms that don't fit your brand or your bandwidth. We come out of onboarding with a clear picture of who we're talking to.
Social without a strategy is just content production. We build a content strategy that maps your pillars, posting cadence, platform priorities, and what each type of content is designed to drive. This includes audience research, a competitive review, and a content calendar you can see and react to before anything goes live. It's a working document, not a PDF no one opens after week one.
We write the captions, design the graphics, and pull in photo or video assets when the content calls for it. Everything goes through review and approval before it's scheduled. We'd rather slow down and get it right than rush something out that doesn't represent you well.
Publishing is the baseline. What we're actually doing is managing your brand's presence in real time. Monitoring comments, responding to DMs, flagging anything that needs your attention, and tracking what's landing. Your monthly report goes beyond follower count to show reach, engagement, click-through, and how social is feeding into your other channels.
Our Team
Meet your social media team.
We manage social for businesses that are tired of posting into a void. That usually means a content strategy built around what your audience actually cares about, a visual identity consistent enough to be recognizable, and a cadence you can actually sustain. More posts is almost never the answer. Better posts, published consistently, almost always is.
We've worked with consumer brands, B2B companies, non-profits, and local Portland businesses. The platforms change, the algorithms change, the content formats change. What doesn't change is that people respond to content that feels real. That's what we're always trying to make.
Day to day, we're in your accounts. Monitoring comments, responding to DMs, flagging anything that needs your attention before it becomes a problem. You'll hear from us regularly, not just at the end-of-month report, but when something's gaining traction worth knowing about or when a quick decision needs to be made. We work like a team member who lives inside your social channels, because that's actually what this requires.

Why Sproutbox
What sets us apart.
Plenty of agencies will fill your calendar with filler. We'd rather earn your audience's attention. As a Portland team, we craft content worth stopping for, engage like we work in your front office, and report numbers that connect to actual business results.
Posting consistently is just the bare minimum. We create content that people want to engage with, not content that fills a calendar.
Social media is called social for a reason. We build relationships, respond to comments, and actually engage with your audience.
Trends come and go. We focus on what actually works for your audience and what moves the needle for your business.
You could buy 10,000 fake followers tomorrow. We build real engagement with real people who actually care about your business.
We've worked with Sproutbox for nearly a year now, and it has been great. The whole team is professional, willing to take on any project, and really nice to work with. They do a great job with project management as well. So glad we found them.

What's included in social media management?
Strategy, content creation, scheduling, community management (responding to comments and DMs), and monthly reporting. We can handle all of it or just the parts you need.
How often do you post?
Quality over frequency. Most accounts don't need to post every day. We figure out the right cadence for your audience and stick to it consistently, which matters more than volume.
Do you do paid social too?
Yes. Our social and advertising teams work together. If you want to put budget behind content, we can run paid social campaigns on the same platforms we manage organically, keeping the strategy aligned.
Can you create video content for social?
Yes. Our photo and video team produces Reels, TikToks, and short-form video built for social. The content performs better when the creative direction comes from the same team managing the account.
How do you measure social media success?
Reach, engagement rate, follower growth, and link clicks. We also track how social feeds into other channels like email sign-ups and website traffic, because social that does not drive anything else is just noise.
What platforms do you manage?
Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and X. We focus your budget on the platforms where your audience actually spends time rather than spreading thin across everything.
Do you write the captions and create the visuals?
Yes. Our team handles strategy, writing, design, and scheduling. You review before anything goes live, but we do the heavy lifting so you are not stuck in a content hamster wheel every week.
How do you handle negative comments or a PR situation?
We monitor your accounts daily and flag anything that needs a fast response. For sensitive situations, we brief you and get approval before responding. You are never out of the loop.
Do we need to provide photos and videos, or can you create content?
Both options work. If you have great assets, we use them. If not, our photo and video team can shoot content specifically for social. We find clients who invest in original content see meaningfully better engagement.
Can you run influencer campaigns?
Yes. We identify and vet influencers who align with your brand, handle the outreach and contracts, manage the campaign, and track performance. We focus on micro-influencers with real engagement over inflated follower counts.
