We build accessible websites for our clients, so we hold our own site to the same standard. Sproutbox is committed to making sproutbox.co usable for everyone, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We audit this site with automated tools (axe-core) and manual checks on a recurring basis, and we fix issues as part of our regular development work rather than letting them pile up.
What we've built in
Some of the specific measures on this site:
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and landmark regions
- Text and interface colors that meet WCAG AA contrast requirements
- Full keyboard navigability with visible focus states and a skip-to-content link
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images; decorative graphics hidden from screen readers
- Animations that respect your reduced-motion system preference
- Videos that are muted, pausable, and never flash
- Cookieless, privacy-first analytics with no consent popups to dismiss
Known limitations
A few things aren't fully in our control. Our scheduling tool (Calendly) and some embedded third-party content follow their own accessibility practices. Older blog posts may occasionally fall short of our current standard; we revise them as we find issues.
