Freelance Web Developer
Freelance Portland, OR preferred, or West Coast (remote) Pay: $30–50/hr (DOE)
Apply Now Our team is looking for a skilled freelance web developer to help us build and maintain websites for our clients. You'll work alongside our design and dev team on projects ranging from new site builds to ongoing updates, landing pages, and performance work across a variety of industries.

Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 Years Freelance Experience: 2 years of freelance-specific experience. Understanding of how to work as a freelancer collaborating with clients or other agencies.
- Strong Fundamentals: Expert-level HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You can build a site from scratch without reaching for a framework when one isn't needed.
- Modern Stack Experience: Comfortable working in Astro (or similar static site frameworks), Sanity CMS (or similar headless CMS), and deploying via Netlify.
- WordPress Proficiency: Experience building and maintaining WordPress sites, including custom themes and working within hosts like WP Engine.
- Design Fidelity: Proven ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate, responsive websites that match the designer's intent across screen sizes.
- Performance and SEO Awareness: You build sites that score well on Core Web Vitals and follow technical SEO best practices (semantic markup, structured data, accessibility).
- Quick Turnarounds: Ability to work quickly while maintaining (reasonable) quality.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail, ensuring precision and polish in every element of a build, with an unwavering commitment to maintaining quality.
- Organizational Proficiency: Well-organized with the ability to manage tasks efficiently, ensuring optimal performance.
- Effective Communication: Available and communicative, fostering open dialogue to ensure seamless collaboration and project success. Available during normal business hours.
